Hello my sweet,
Have I ever told you how much I absolutely adore traveling the world, having new experiences and constantly pushing myself out of my comfort zone?
Well, it is kind of what set my on this path of seeking freedom, both inside and out.
To see the world. To taste the flavours of life. To discover the extraordinary in the ordinary.
The way that I see it, this life is waaaaay too short to live on the sidelines of our dreams.
It’s the reason why in 2005 I left my home town of 5000 people to live in London, England with less than 1000 in my bank account. No friends. No job. Just me and my passport.
It’s why I learned to SCUBA dive in 2009 even though I was so terrified while attempting to complete my practical exam. Which included me taking off my mask at the bottom of the ocean and sobbing uncontrollably when I resurfaced, determined not to try again. But I did.
It’s the reason why I danced with delight and danger in 2011 and embarked on a week long adventure to see sharks, mantra rays and Komodo Dragons (the largest lizard in the world) in Indonesia.
It’s why I choose to live an unconventional lifestyle, filled with magic and mystery. Seeking meaning in every moment and pushing myself to create podcasts (secretly scared that no one will listen), teach heart-centered yoga classes (not knowing if anyone will show up) and give up on trying to “fit in”.
Now I have to say that it has been quite the wild ride. Every new dive. Class. Podcast. Friend. Country. Recipe. Idea. Philosophy. Book. Memory. Has made me who I am today.
Which is why I am so passionate about showing women what’s possible when they decide to take the leap. Small or large. It’s not about getting on a plane. It’s about feeling the fear and doing it anyway.
Fear of rejection. Fear of getting lost. Fear of looking stupid. Fear of being wrong.
Feeling that fear and discovering what lives on the other side. Those moments of triumph. Of feeling victorious. Of feeling truly and deeply free.
So before you head over to expedia and book your flight, I want to share with you today’s podcast interview with with my new friend and free-spirited explorer, Ashlyn George of The Lost Girls Guide To Finding the World. She is also the 2015 Saskatchewanderer (the official Saskatchewan travel blogger and adventurer!)
Why did I invite her to be on the show. Well, beside the fact that I wanted to hear EVERYthing that she had to share about her adventures over the past 5 years. I wanted to discover what living a Liberated Life looked like for her, what she learned during her travels and her advice to the younger me.
The girl who wanted to do more and experience more, but was just too afraid to reach for it.

Currently she is back at home in Saskatchewan, acting as the official travel blogger and adventurer for the provincial government as the 2015 Saskatchewanderer. But that’s not all: with a love of technology and writing, she also shares her personal, global adventures to followers through social media and her travel website The Lost Girl’s Guide to Finding the World.
